Thanks Stefan, updated the demo, and included some missing dll’s. Please report any errors again – also please remember to install the cuda drivers for your graphics card http://www.nvidia.com/object/cuda_get.html

I tried the new version.
I noticed you mixed cudart.dll v2.0/2.1 with cutil32.dll v2.2
It runs until the actual 3D appears, then the graphics driver resets.
I’m using Forceware 185.85 with a 8800GTX (G80, Compute Capability 1.0)
Then i tried “Sisoft Sandra” benchmark, new version released today.
“GPGPU memory bandwith” runs fine, “GPGPU processing” crashes like your demo.
Maybe CUDA 2.2 requires “atomic operations”, which are not supported by G80 chip? Although the release notes don’t say anything about that.

Do you know who made this demo.
I would like to contact them if possible.
Im doing my masters on fluids.
thanks

Hi Kasper
The smoke dataset was generated by our local level set super scientists at the Computer Science Department, University of Aarhus, Denmark; Michael Bang and Brian Bunch. The smoke visualization software was made by us, the computer graphics group at the Alexandra Institute. Please contact Peter Trier for details.
And thanks for your interest.
Regards.
